I’m Wen, a strategic product designer, emerging ceramic artist, and creative pragmatist. I’m dedicated to crafting experiences that are both intuitive and meaningful. Whether I’m designing digital systems or handbuilding ceramic forms, I approach each project with clarity, care, and deep respect for the human experience.

Product Design

Human-centered solutions for complex product challenges. I design intuitive, scalable experiences that align user needs with business goals. From early discovery to polished handoff, I bring clarity to ambiguity and create thoughtful, user-first digital products across industries.

Multi-Platform Design

Seamless experiences across mobile, web, and responsive systems. With a focus on native apps, responsive web, and data-driven dashboards, I craft cohesive interfaces that adapt to context and device. My work blends usability, accessibility, and refined visual design — ensuring consistency and clarity at every touchpoint.

Product Strategy

Design-driven thinking to support business impact. I contribute to product vision and direction by identifying user pain points, defining key workflows, and collaborating closely with stakeholders. I connect strategy to execution with a systems mindset and a bias toward practical, actionable design solutions.

Design Systems

Modular frameworks for scale, clarity, and consistency. I build and maintain design systems that support product teams with reusable components, clear documentation, and scalable foundations. My approach emphasizes accessibility, visual hierarchy, and long-term maintainability across platforms

studio art

studio art

I am a Taiwan born, New York based artist and multidisciplinary designer, currently reengaging with my tactile practice. The studio is a space for slow making, quiet rituals, and materials that speak without words.

My practice explores care, memory, and the tension between softness and structure, shaped by a background in fashion, product design, and a life between Taipei and New York. Whether coiling a vessel or threading through a surface, each gesture becomes a quiet act of care.

This is where I think with my hands.

Threading Resilience: My Ongoing Exploration

Threading Resilience explores the symbolic and structural interplay between fiber (yin) and clay (yang), drawing from my Taiwanese heritage and material intuition. This body of work consists of hybrid ceramic and fiber sculptures that hold tension, vulnerability, and quiet strength. Each piece begins with a handbuilt clay form, looped or bound with natural fiber in a gesture of holding — both physical and metaphorical. Some works stand upright, others hang like relics or altars. Fiber threads through vessels, wraps surfaces, or stretches across negative space. These are not just formal studies, but symbolic containers of care, protection, and ancestral memory. Rooted in soft form, modular structure, and personal ritual, the collection reimagines utility as ritual, containment as care, and softness as resistance.

Weaving Inspiration

The weaving and sculptural works shown here are by pioneering artists such as Anni Albers, Ruth Asawa, Sheila Hicks, and Gego. Their use of structure, repetition, and spatial rhythm has deeply informed my approach to material and form. I draw from their legacy in my own practice, where fiber becomes a language of tension, care, and quiet structure — shaping how I explore the relationship between softness and strength.

Life is curious!

After years in the air as a flight attendant, I’ve learned to move through the world like an ethnographer—attentive to the quiet, the fleeting, and the in-between.

Guided by curiosity and a deep love for people, I capture human connection, cultural nuance, and the subtle poetry of the built environment. It could be the way sunlight spills across a façade or a passing glance between strangers—moments that ask you to pause.

Rooted in New York but seeing through a traveler’s lens, my work invites others to notice the overlooked and reframe the familiar. You can find more of these one-frame stories paired with soundtracks and haiku on Shutter & Track.
